All jewellery in the "Float" collection are limited pieces made following a residency in Iceland in 2020 where Eily focused on glacial melt. Each one is unique and crafted by hand using recycled silver and firing on glass enamel. No plastic is used in the packaging and they are a perfect everyday piece made with sustainability and ethical consciousness in mind.
This pendant features a hand engraved seascape on recycled silver. Glossy blue enamel swathes the surface of the engraved area referencing the threat of rising sea levels.
Enamelling is a process used by Eily whereby glass is ground down and carefully applied to the surface of silver in a fine layer. It is the fused with the silver when carefully fired to a high temperature in her kiln. This specialised technique has been honed by Eily through years of trial and error. Each one will be made to order and created uniquely.
It hangs on a belcher chain with a hand made t-bar style clasp. Choose your preferred length in the drop down menu.
Pendant size approx 22mm x 18mm x 5mm. The whole piece has then been surface oxidized in black which will fade in time with the wearer.
Hallmarked by the London assay office with registered EOC mark.
